Not sleeping tonight. Just can't and Mum's apartment is so warm. Well, that's what planes are for. My flight is at 10:30 AM from Newark. Then Atlanta. Then Denver and we land at 3 PM.

LEAVING CONNECTICUT part I

I made the executive decision to leave mañana. Too much to pack and clean. My vacuum died two weeks ago, so I got a new one, but I have to put the damn thing together first. Ugh! Seriously? Before I vacuum the entire damn house. It's like being tried for the same crime twice.

This move does feel pretty crazy. After watching a documentary on Dianetics, Mel said it was so stupid that she thought I could make up my own religion. She was serious. So of the two options, going west to grow cannabis was actually the less crazy idea. Besides, I don't give off a savior vibe in the least.

Getting my new Bissel Vacuum together was a bit of a chore as they were just bare bones. But it works. More laundry. Where the fuck is my suitcase anyway? I haven't used it since a year ago to go to Charlotte, NC.

Mets/Reds is starting and the magic number is 3. It's been 9 years since the Mets made the playoffs. I was still married back then. Poor, little, old me.

Duda hits a 3 run homer! He played well last night too. Maybe Lucas Duda is finally breaking out of his slump. They need his bat for the playoffs.

UFO

Tonight's the night

I leave mañana for Jersey. From there I fly out to Denver for 5 weeks of looking for work. This is when the UFO creeps in; Unlimited Freak Out. I don't know what the future will hold, but we never do.

Miles to go before I sleep. Doctor Wu, my cat, knows there's far too much activity in the house and something is up. Mum is going to watch him while I'm away.

It's a brave new world in the United States. Weed is back, legal for the 1st time since 1937. Before 1937, all kinds of cannabis medicines could be gotten at a pharmacy. It's no secret that big alcohol has spent millions to keep it illegal, starting after prohibition was repealed. The other most powerful cannabis haters? Try tobacco, big pharma and private prisons! An auspicious group, to say the very least.

I was laid off from a struggling start up company in July and decided I was done with sales forever. I've always loved gardening and decided to give it a go in Denver, where I have 2 great friends.
